Dig the dented knife

A poem on someone consciously hurting someone’s feelings

Dig the knife.
Never expected this in my life.
Gotta come up with something now.

Push it deeper.
Shouldn’t have broken my own vow.
Gotta wait for what’s coming next.

Twist it right.
I think of all of this I need a rest.
Gotta drink up all the red water.

And take it out.
I well know it won’t ever be the same.
Gotta stand up through all of this pain.

Ah! It was dented.
